If anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer them as best I can. Then again, this is so much sci-fi as to appear to be magical anyway. I think it might have the potential to be better than Age of Wonders 3 - and I'm typically bigger into Fantasy than Sci-Fi as a setting. Not that we have a lot of competition in this space, but it's one of the best 4X games I've played in years. I did report it and provided a save game, so hopefully it's addressed. Thankfully you can re-load a pre-combat auto-save or even the auto save from before the end of the previous turn, so it wasn't a game breaker or anything. I don't really have any complaints, but I did run into a bug twice where during combat an animation would get "stuck" and the game would become unresponsive. Lots of great details, the visuals are excellent (if a little busy - takes a bit of getting used to in order to stop missing stuff on the strategy map, though YMMV there). The combat has a lot of nuance and is just absolutely the best - each unit feels like they have several cool tricks up their sleeve, and I'm fielding (modded) tier 1 and 2 units for the bulk of my army even in the late game (and so is the AI). The diplomacy makes more sense and is more reliable than something like Civilization games tend to be, especially the last one. The AI isn't perfect, but it clearly knows how to play the game. I'll just say it's constantly surprising me and I'm really digging it. It's fantastic so far, but I'm only about 9 hours into it (and the first two hours were a game I actually lost to the Normal AI) so while I'm getting into the end game on my current Syndicate run, I don't think I'm qualified to review it or anything.
